Caribbean characters abound in dark grimy bars and talk of where the real treasures lie. History is filled with the glamorous figures
of the high seas. Stealthy crews outwitting wealthy merchant ships and royal armadas. Adventurous types like Long John Silver have held
legends to a standard as they captured our imaginations in books and stories. The true buccaneers were wanted men and spent most of their
lives in hiding or on the run. Only to strike when the opportunity was right and their pockets getting light. Sailing the world over most
were thought of as common thieves while others reached legendary status. Names like Black beard, Stede Bonnet "The Gentleman Pirate", Jack
Rackham "Calico Jack" and Henry Every became famous as word of their exploits spread through the port cities. Sailing superior ships and
manned by superior crews the pirates were quite successful and feared among ships bearing riches from the colonies. Having pledged
allegiance to no one they seized the fortunes of whatever passed their paths. In most cases these were ships of the wealthy European kings
and rulers bearing a cache of taxes and plundered riches from the Americas. As these rulers were basically hated by the colonists the
pirates were somewhat admired. Colorful characters only added to the stories. Crazed men of little morals much less sanity that would do
most anything to strike fear into there adversaries. Having only the finest fabrics and jewels at their disposal their appearance was
quite ornate. Bright silks and linens hand sewn into the most basic of garments and accessorized with fine gems and trinkets of conquest.
Using only what they had to cloth themselves they ended up being quite fashionable wearing the finest that the world had to offer. To
